Clubs and Activities

This club is open to 5th Grade students who want to become more aware of environmental issues and how we can help our environment. 

Enrollment is limited to 20 students.

Once a week, students from each grade level have the opportunity to play sports in the gym before school starts. Students must get a pass from the cafeteria and this activity is first come, first serve.

Mondays - 4th Grade
Tuesdays - 5th Grade
Wednesdays - 3rd Grade
Thursdays - 2nd Grade
Fridays - 1st Grade

This club will do the planning, research, planting and maintenance of our school garden to ensure our garden continues to grow and flourish. This club is offered to grades 1 thru 5.

Students will have the opportunity to learn and celebrate different cultures together.

This program is designed as an after school academic enrichment program focused on literacy and math.

5th Grade students help provide safety at Westside by being present throughout the school and ensuring school safety rules are followed.

This will be a non-competitive, all-inclusive league led the NE YMCA sports team with the first two weeks spent on learning the game of soccer and the last three weeks spent playing games.

Location: Westside soccer field or gym (in bad weather)

Students in grades 3 thru 5 can explore strategy games such as checkers, chess, card games, dice games and Pokeman.

Space Club is a collaboration with NASA for students to learn about space.  This club is open to 4th and 5th graders.

Enrollment is limited to 12 students.

This club is offered to 4th and 5th grade students. they will be using Step-Dancing to share their stories and celebrate their differences amongst their peers.  They will work on team building skills such as communication, motivation, leadership and problem solving.

This club is designed for 4th Graders to develop leadership and promote school activities.

Theatre club will be open for grades 1-5. Students will create customs, build sets, write and perform a play for their families at the end of each session.  This club is a partnership with Prairie Music and Arts Academy.

Tri 4 Schools is a fee-based program. Students in Grades 2 thru 5 can train for a triathlon that will take place late June at the Sun Prairie High School.
