Head Varsity Coach - Mackenzie Walter
Mackenzie, Girls Varsity Head Coach, is entering her fifth season in the Sun Prairie West Volleyball Program. She has head coached for various volleyball clubs in the Madison area since 2019. Mackenzie played collegiately for Edgewood College (2014-2018) as a setter and pin hitter, and continues to play competitively at the local, regional, and national level. She is working in the area as a counselor/therapist. Mackenzie’s goal is to become athletic mental health counselor, combining her two passions into one.
Assistant Varsity Coach- Caitlyn Logsdon
Caitlyn, Girls Varsity Assistant Coach, is entering her fifth season in the Sun Prairie West Volleyball Program. She believes the most important part of athletics is building life skills for student athletes through trust, compassion, time management, and hard work. Caitlyn’s favorite parts of coaching include helping mold “good humans” and showing athletes that women (and moms) can do hard things.
JV Head Coach- Deanna Anderson
Deanna, Junior Varsity Coach, is returning for her fourth year at Sun Prairie West High School. She has coached club volleyball for over 10 years in the greater-Madison area with a passion for creating environments based in inclusivity, empowerment, and trust. She has worked for UW Health for 7 years, most recently in an Education and Training role utilizing her leadership master’s degree. She is elated to be apart of the Wolves coaching staff and looks forward to a successful season
JV2 Blue Head Coach- Amber Beaver
Amber is returning for her third year as a JV2 coach in the Sun Prairie West Girls Volleyball Program. She has a passion for creating a space where student athletes can gain confidence, feel heard, and find their voice. She feels strongly that being involved in team sports and athletics can prepare young woman for their futures with leadership skills and communication that will take them beyond the court. Amber brings energy and passion while coaching and also while she is working in the Sun Prairie West Athletic Office.
