Meet our Coaching Staff

Varsity Head Coach-Mike McIntosh
We are excited to announce that Mike McIntosh will be the Sun Prairie West Boys Head Soccer Coach. Coach McIntosh has been involved with our boys program for eight years. First and foremost, he is student focused and always puts the student first. He has done a lot to build our boys soccer leadership program over the past two years as an assistant coach. His ability to help develop students not only on the field but off the field was very evident when interviewing him. He also had a very clear vision for his program and the overview on how he will approach every season. Mike is very well connected to our soccer community and we know he will build an extremely successful boys soccer program at Sun Prairie West.
Coach McIntosh was honored to coach beside Coach Tok Kim and his staff during the Sun Prairie Boys Varsity soccer team’s past two seasons and with Coach Justin Packard as a Varsity co-head coach with the Stoughton High School Girls Varsity last spring. During the 2020 season, he navigated the Stoughton High School Girls soccer program through the tricky initial stages of the COVID-19 crisis, which was the hardest but one of the most rewarding coaching assignments in his coaching career. In 2018 and 2019 he enjoyed leading the Stoughton High School Boys Varsity Soccer team to back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in a decade. Prior to 2018, Coach McIntosh spent fourteen years as a coach and administrator for the Sun Prairie Soccer Club, for which he is a founding member.
As a twenty-year resident of Sun Prairie with three children (Sophie, Phoebe and Finn) who enjoyed their time in various Sun Prairie schools, Coach McIntosh and his wife, Dr. Gwenevere McIntosh, have been and are very much invested in the Sun Prairie community. They are excited to stand beside administrators, teachers and student-athletes as our community makes a great start to the newest high school in Wisconsin.

When it comes to the field, he is looking for playmakers at every position. Everyone can be an attacker and everyone can be a defender- not everyone can be a playmaker. Creating and finishing chances will make you stand out from the crowd!
