1.  Who can participate?

SP4K is a voluntary early learning program available to ALL four-year-olds in Sun Prairie.  Any child who turns 4 years of age on or before September 1, 2021 is eligible to register for the 2021-22 school year.

2.  What is 4K?

4K is a play-based, developmentally appropriate program for 4-year-old students.  Studies show that quality early education results in success throughout school.

3.  Where are SP4K classes held?

SP4K classes are in public elementary schools (school-based sites) and community-based partner sites.  For a full list of schools, please check out our web page under "Locations".

4.  Why have 4K?

The program allows the Sun Prairie Schools community to have access to free, quality early educational experiences.

5.  How does  SP4K work?

All our 4K sites follow the same curriculum.  Our curriculum is based upon Wisconsin Early Learning Standards and district curriculum;  The curriculum is specifically designed to meet the social, emotional and educational needs of our 4-year-old students.
