Gingerbread House is an early childhood education program provider located at 170 N. Bristol St. here in Sun Prairie. It offers a home-like, educational childcare service and recreational programs that stimulate growth and development. The school provides children ages two to five years with developmentally appropriate activities, learning materials and activities.

Head Start is a comprehensive preschool program that focuses on promoting school readiness through positive social and educational skill development for children 3-5 years old of low-income families.

Program Features:

• Health Services: Linking families to a medical home, ensuring all children receive developmental, sensory & behavior screening, ensuring all children receive well child physical examinations, establish an ongoing source of oral health care & education about all areas of health.
• Nutrition Services: Assessment, education, and connection to food assistance programs in the community. Nutritious meals served in our center-based programs.
• Mental Health Services: Ensure children & families have access to prevention & intervention services.
• Services for Children With Disabilities: Reach Dane partners with local early intervention programs to serve infants and toddlers with disabilities.
• Family Fun Events: Meal, transportation, and parent/child activity.
• Family Engagement: Supporting families to be safe, healthy, and financially secure. Home visits & Family Partnership Agreements are part of this process.

Rock-a-bye is an educational child care provider that serves the greater Sun Prairie & Madison, WI area. We provide a safe, secure and loving atmosphere in which your child will learn and grow. Our programs range from infant/toddler care up to school-age care, both full & part-time. We offer a free Sun Prairie For Kids (SP4K) program, as well as before & after-school care.

Rock-A-Bye

Sun Prairie Nursery School, located in the United Methodist Church, 702 North Street, was formed, incorporated, and state licensed in 1968. We are a nonprofit, nonsectarian school open to all preschool children in the area. All teachers and staff participate in continuing education activities and are licensed by the State of Wisconsin.

We offer both 3-4 and 4K preschool programming. Our 3-4 program meets 2 days per week-Tuesdays & Thursdays or 3 days per week - Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. We are also a partner site for SP4K offering 4K 5 days per week. Each class has 2 teachers and a maximum of 20 children. Our total enrollment for the school is 114 students. SPNS follows the SPASD school calendar and is in session September - June.

The philosophy of Sun Prairie Nursery School embraces the idea that the first five years of a child's life are important. It is necessary that we capitalize on these years - that we help children develop their amazing potential. SPNS offers opportunities for socio-emotional, cognitive, and physical development of the child. Our program is designed to meet those needs in a warn and friendly manner.

Teddy's Place prepares young students for kindergarten by modeling and teaching communication skills, readiness skills, social skills, pre-reading, etc. This child care organization also offer after-school and before-school services for the children and features snacks, transportation, educational field trips, and centers to name a few.
