About Us

Welcome to Royal Oaks Elementary - Home of the Rockets!

Although our curriculum is identical to the other elementary schools in the district, we are unique as being the only open-concept school in the Sun Prairie Area District. We have over 420 students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

We are proud to be a School of Distinction for our Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program and a great supporter of the WATCH Dads Of Great Student (D.O.G.S.) & Moms Of Marvelous Students (M.O.M.S.)  Program. Through this program, we welcome our parent volunteers into our school who assist our students to provide them with the best opportunity for success.

Our Points of Pride

  1. Royal Oaks is committed to creating a caring environment where all Rockets can thrive and grow…emotionally, academically and socially.
  2. Royal Oaks staff will work hard at meeting learners where they are and grow them to become independent learners.
  3. Our unique Open Concept provides a real world environment where collaboration and teamwork are part of our daily fabric.
  4. Our Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students) and MOMS (Moms of Marvelous Students) program offers an opportunity for our parents and caregivers to volunteer at Royal Oaks and see first hand how our school operates and meets the needs of our Rockets.
  5. Our SCO (ROSCO) provides countless opportunities for community building and fun. They are a big part of our success at Royal Oaks.
  6. We CELEBRATE! Every Friday, we either celebrate the great choices of our Rockets at an all school Rocket Rally or we learn about the diverse cultures of those in our community through intentional lessons delivered during Morning Meeting/Community Time.
  7. Every spring each Rocket takes home a plant from our school garden. In addition, our Garden Club supplies lettuce and spinach to our school salad bar, which is grown all year long.
