Athletics Heads Up for 2022-23:

6th Graders:  When your student is a 7th grader next school year, they will have more opportunities to participate in athletics.  If your child is interested in joining any of our athletics, they must have a completed physical every 2 years.  It would be helpful to schedule physicals now for your children!  (Just trust us…it comes up quickly and you’ll be happy you got this done over the summer.)

7th Graders:  If your current 7th grader has any interest in athletics for the 2022-23 school year, their physicals must be dated after April 2021 for them to be valid.

Yearbook Distribution:
Yearbooks will be distributed to students who pre-ordered one on Wednesday, May 25. A limited number of soft-cover books will be available for purchase on Wednesday as well for $15. All books are sold on a first-come-first serve basis so we will not be able to take any reservation requests. Please send students to school with cash or a check made out to "Prairie View Middle School." Questions can be directed to

School Issued Device Return:
School issued Chromebooks, cases, and chargers will be turned in on Tuesday, May 24th. All students will be turning in Chromebooks regardless if they are taking summer school classes or not. Please be sure your student has all three items ready to turn in for the summer by this date.

Upcoming Dates:
May 24 - Chromebook Collection
May 25 - Students will celebrate the end of year with Kona Ice, donated from our SCO!  All virtual students are welcome to join us in the side parking lot by the basketball courts to grab a sweet treat between 1:00-2:30.
May 26 - Last day of school for students (Dismissal at 11:10)  Please do not send any kind of bag to school with your student today!
June 21 and 22 - Prairie View SCO Share Nights with Cassoulet

School Supplies for the 2022-23 School Year:
Prairie View School Supply Lists for next school year will be on our website in the next few weeks.  We are also offering a one stop shop option through School Tool Box for supplies for PV students in 6th-8th grades.  If you are interested, login to and you can order all of the school supplies for next year.  Please know that you do not have to use this option, and we encourage students to reuse supplies that are still in good used condition from previous years.

Symptom Screening:
All adults must monitor our PV students daily for symptoms and exposure according to the SPASD Student COVID 19 Symptom Screening Checklist (Spanish).  If any student is feeling ill or has been exposed to someone that has tested positive for COVID-19, visit the PHMDC testing webpage to learn the different ways to get tested.
