Bell Schedule
Prairie Phoenix Academy -
We have a form of block scheduling. The school day starts at 8:45 am and ends at 3:20 pm.
The following is for the 2023-2024 School Year:
Doors Open - 8:30 am
Breakfast - 8:45 am - 9:00 am
Advisory - Time 9:00 am - 9:15 am
Soft landing, informal community building, info/announcement sharing - scholars get ready for the day.
--not artifacts; teach scholars that in the work world, arriving a bit early makes your life easier and makes you happier and better at your job.
Workshop - 9:20 am - 10:20 am rostered at start of each workshop round
Workshop 2 - 10:25 am - 11:25 am rostered at start of each workshop round
Workshop 3A - 11:25 am - 11:45 am Meet in Advisories
-check in, community building
-sign up workshop 3b flex spaces
-may start in another scheduled space (ex: weekly group/club meeting that run from 11:45 through lunch)
Break - 11:50 am - 12:05 pm
LUNCH - 12:05 pm - 12:35 pm Closed Campus
-can include working lunches for group/club meetings that started workshop 3a or start here and flow into workshop 3b
Workshop 3B - 12:40 pm - 1:20 pm Start in Advisories
-scholars may then move to another scheduled place, signed up before lunch for where they need to go for hands-on work (ex: move to supervised art room to work on a painting in progress)
Workshop 4 - 1:25 pm - 2:25 pm rostered at start of each workshop round
Workshop 5 - 2:30 pm - 3:20 pm rostered at start of each workshop round
-well-suited for community outreach and collaboration projects
-JAG class period, Driver's Ed, fitness workout room
Dismissal - 3:20 pm
- Go home, take care of yourselves and be good to your family.
- Go to after school programs
- Go to work, make money and put it in the bank for college.
- Go to bed at a decent time!
Dismissal for students from a class is determined by the teacher or supervisor.
