Family Engagement Belief Statement

Prairie Phoenix Academy is an intentional school community where students, staff, and families feel seen, valued, and heard. We work to understand our own story and the stories of others, identify and eliminate barriers, problem-solve solutions, build relationships, and actively listen to and amplify the voices of our students to create equitable opportunities and outcomes. Our community supports and empowers high expectations for all students and staff, so that all students are college, career, and community ready.

Volunteer Opportunities
  • Information will be shared in the family newsletter, allowing families to express interest in volunteering at school.
  • That interest form will be shared with teachers/staff
  • To ensure our commitment to equity is reflected in this process, in addition to having it at the forefront, we will engage in intentional outreach through our equity-based student groups to ensure access and representation from all our families.

How parents & caregivers can help us meet our school goals

Schools will develop and implement a high-confidence, flexed strategy to engage families using the Family Engagement & Inclusion plan co-created with staff and families so that parents/caregivers feel they belong to their school community (PPA's Family Engagement Plan).
