Clubs & Activities

This homework club is for ALGEBRA help only.  It is open to any 7th or 8th grade students who need help with the subject of Algebra.  It will meet on Thursdays after school in room 311.

Student-led club where students have a safe place to talk about experiences they are having, bring attention to issues they have concerns about, as well as engage in projects that will benefit Patrick Marsh & the entire Sun Prairie community.

The theme for BSU this year will be Black Excellence, Love, Unity, & Happiness

Careers Club will be starting the week of March 18th.  It is open to all students who are  interested in finding jobs, exploring different career paths, and developing leadership skills.  Careers Club will meet after school on Tuesdays for 8th graders and Fridays for 6th and 7th graders. Meetings will start  at 3:45 in room 204. This club also includes the opportunity for a paid summer internship for 8th graders. If students have any questions or would like to pick up a registration packet, they should stop in room 134 to see Ms. Charlotte.

This club is open to Orchestra students who wish to have a more advanced repertoire and playing opportunities along with fostering their musical growth.

Chamber Orchestra Club will meet on Monday's, at 7:15 am, in the orchestra room.

Are you looking to hone your chess skills? Looking to learn how to play chess? Maybe you just want to find a new way to compete. Good news for you, the Panther Den, Patrick Marsh's Chess Club, will begin on Wednesday, 11/29, after school. Please see Mr. Barnet in room 207 for a permission slip!

Do you enjoy comics? Would you like to create your own? The Comic & Animation Club may be for you. You will have an opportunity to create comics with your own drawings or by building scenes with Legos. You can even learn how to create stop motion animation with Legos! 

This club will meet on Thursdays, starting on October 5th , from 3:40-4:40 pm in room 401.

Craft Club (formerly Knitting Club) info:

Are you creative? Do you enjoy arts and crafts?  Craft club is for you!  Our projects include rock painting, “pura vida” bracelets, string art, magnets, paracord items, knitting, cross stitch, crochet, edible rock candy, and MORE!  November through February, we will meet Tuesdays before school and Wednesdays after school.  Questions - contact Mrs. Diallo

This club meets on Friday's after school from 3:45 -0 4:45 pm, in room 309.

September 15 - October 29 and then begins again on Friday, April 5 until the end of May.

Advisors: Mr. Smith, Mr. Brandl and Mr. Kitner.

Open to any student who plays a string instrument(Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass) We will be learning music from multiple styles and also spending time developing our skills of improvisation and writing our own original music!

This club will meet on Tuesday's after school from 3:40-4:45.

Do you identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community or are you an ally? If so, join us at GSA club. GSA stands for Gender and Sexuality Alliance and the first meeting will be in Ms. Razz's room 214 on Monday, September 16th. We'll play games and socialize. Everyone is welcome, regardless of identity. If you have questions, please contact Ms. Razz, Mz. Katie, or Ms. Disch. 

Jazz band is open to ALL current 7th and 8th grade band students.  We will learn to play various jazz styles.  There will be opportunities for improvisation for students who wish to perform solos (but this is NOT a requirement).  We have two performances during the year, which include working with area jazz musicians who will spend time with us at school.  Jazz band will meet Mondays after school and Thursdays before school.  We will not meet each week, so please be sure to check out the jazz/pep band calendar.  Even if you are in a sport during the year, you can attend our rehearsals before school and still be in jazz band.  See a band teacher if you have any questions!

Peer  Ambassadors work to help make Patrick Marsh a positive, safe and fun place to be. Students involved will be looked on as ambassadors of our school. They will be mentors to new students that come in and they will help run our 5th grade visit. This will include making a video and leading small group tours. Additionally, the Peer Ambassadors will help in creating and implementing school wide positive climate activities. These will include house competitions, the Kindness Challenge, and theme days. Peer Ambassadors will meet 1-2 times a month, more if necessary. More program info and process for signing up will be posted as it becomes available.

This is a 7th and 8th grade opportunity.

Pops Club is open to any student enrolled in choir at Patrick Marsh. Students will sing a variety of modern music throughout the decades from songs currently on the radio, to musical theatre, to a Cappella pop music. Pops Club will perform at the PMMS Winter & Spring Choir Concerts on 1/9 and 5/14.

This club will meet on Thursday's starting 10/26, in the morning from 7:15 - 8:06 am in room 105.

Running club is for 6th, 7th and 8th graders.  The club will meet Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday after school during cross country season (September 4th- Oct. 17th), and will continue meeting Mondays and Wednesdays Oct. 21st to Nov. 30th.  Running club will NOT meet on the days cross country is scheduled to compete in meets.  All running club members and families are invited to join us for the all city meet on Oct. 17th at Sheehan Park.    

At the conclusion of the cross country season, the running club and any cross country runners that want to keep running, will meet twice per week (Monday and Wednesday) from Oct. 16th - Nov. 30th.  

In order to participate all runners must have a physical form signed and turned into the main office before you can start practicing.  Physical Form

Welcome to Patrick Marsh SkillsUSA! We are excited to have you join us as we work together to develop important personal, workplace, and technical skills grounded in academics. Our meetings will take place on the first and third Wednesday of each month (with two exceptions). Our program of work will include engaging in fun, hands-on activities that will help us grow as leaders and chapter members. We look forward to a great year of learning, collaboration, and success! (SkillsUSA is an organization for students in Technology & Engineering Education Classes.)
