Principal Welcome

Dear Patrick Marsh Family and Friends:

Welcome to Patrick Marsh Middle School, home of the Panthers!  At PMMS our mission is, “to inspire and prepare every child, every day by providing relevant, engaging, and innovative learning experiences in and out of the classroom.”  We accomplish this in a setting that is safe, fun and interesting while meeting the unique needs of the early adolescent. 

Our school offers many opportunities for your child during and outside of the school day.  In addition to the core subjects of English, Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies, students have a wide range of elective classes.  These courses include Art, Music, Computers, World Language, Technical Education, Family and Consumer Education, and Physical Education. Our students are also able to take advantage of our proximity to the Sun Prairie Business Park through field trips to explore future career opportunities. 

After the school day, students can participate in a variety of  clubs and activities  ranging from service learning to student council to sports.  Research has shown that there is a positive impact on students who participate in school activities, so please encourage your child to get involved outside of the school day. One unique aspect of PMMS is that we are located next to the 145 acre Patrick Marsh, which provides our students and staff with an outdoor learning environment.  Students are able to study native plants and animals and have learning opportunities that cannot occur in a traditional classroom setting. 

Because we believe that parents and families play a significant role in their child’s education, please consider joining our Parent Student Teacher Organization and volunteering at our school.  You are vital partners in the educational process, so feel free to reach out if you ever have questions or concerns.
