At-Home Reading Expectations
If there is one thing your family works into your nightly routine that supports academic learning, we hope it’s READING! Research is clear that reading ability improves drastically (especially at the youngest ages) with the volume of reading a child does. Below are the minutes we hope your child is reading every night. Please note that this can be them reading from their just right books (paper or on an online app), reading to a sibling or being read to by a grown-up. It’s all good and has a place in developing your child’s most important academic skill!
