Our Points of Pride

• Horizon has a strong focus on the social-emotional side of student learning using PBIS, Responsive Classroom and Second Step.
• We use high-leverage academic strategies to continuously improve student learning.
• SCO sponsors Fall Festival, Hootie Hustle, Warm Up Horizon, Movie Night and other monthly social events outside of the school day.
• 4th and 5th grade Student Leadership Team partner with the staff to teach positive behaviors through student-created videos; host fun school events; and fundraise for local causes.
• We have buddy classrooms between primary and intermediate classrooms for reading and activities
• Student clubs: Tech Club, Student Council, Games Club, Textile Club, Music Club.
• Staff and SCO host a fun family picnic at the end of every school year.
• We are proud of our positive school culture and climate.
