Announcements  12/9/2019

  • It's Human Rights Week at SPHS. Amnesty International is offering treats for trivia. Have your Cardinal 30 teacher send an email to Mr. Piotrowski ( E-S-P-I-O-T-R ) with the correct answer to this question. A random correct answer will win treats for the class.

Today's question: In which year was the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations?

  • A representative from Madison College will be here tomorrow, December 10th, from 12:30 to 3:30.  Any student wishing to meet with the representative can go to Student Services on the 10th between 12:30 and 3:30.

  • Students, please check lost-and-found if you think you have an item to claim. We are going to be cleaning out the lost and found and donating items over winter break.

  • Hello seniors! Do you want a dance this February? Then you better get to class! We need to raise our grade’s attendance from a 92% to a 95% by the end of the semester. This dance is seniors only. Let’s all work together to get a dance!

  • There will be a short informational meeting for all girls interested in going out for soccer this Spring after school today in room 2240 (Mrs. Cleveland) at the High School.

  • The holidays are here! Do you need a gift for a friend or family member but don’t want to break the bank? Get them a pulsera, which is a bracelet made by artisans from Nicaragua for only $5 or a small handwoven bag (aka: bolsita) for $10. 100% of the funds raised will go directly back to the artisans of Nicaragua and their families, as well as other social impact programs such as: legal and medical care, housing, university scholarships, environmental initiatives, and more! The pulseras and bolsitas will be sold before and after school in the cafeteria Monday December 9th through Friday the 15th, but if you can't make it before or after school see a Spanish Club member for more details!
