TJ Rantala - Varsity Head Coach
Alison Anderson - Freshman Coach
I have been coaching volleyball for the last 20 years, the last 8 have been with the Sun Prairie volleyball program as a freshman head coach. I am jumping into my 14th year of teaching health and physical education and my 8th full time year at Creekside Elementary. I love volleyball!! I play when my knees are healthy, on any volleyball team and on any surface that I can year-round. Since volleyball is a lifetime sport for me and I hold such a passion for movement and healthy bodies, I hope to instill the same values in my athletes, along with a desire to be a leader and role model on and off the court.
Deana Back - Head Junior Varsity Coach
I started coaching volleyball in Sun Prairie in 2008, the year after I took my first teaching job at Horizon Elementary. After one year of being the Junior Varsity assistant coach, I moved into the Head JV coaching position. After nine years of teaching in Sun Prairie, I took a job in Waunakee to be a Reading Specialist. Yet, I was still committed to the Sun Prairie community, this coaching staff, and to our talented and dedicated athletes. Our coaching staff has really shaped me into the coach I am today. One committed to excellence in the classroom, on the court, and out in the community. I have a strong calling to shape our youth, and I find great joy in doing that through the exciting sport of volleyball at Sun Prairie High School.
Sadie Brown - Freshman Red
I have been working as an Adapted PE teacher for the Sun Prairie School District since 2015, the same year I became the JV softball coach. Prior to being in Sun Prairie I taught PE/Health in the Watertown School District where I also coached softball, volleyball, and cheer. I have been coaching high school softball and volleyball for about 10 years. I have a passion for both sports and enjoy sharing that passion with my athletes. As the JV coach my job is to help prepare the girls to be contributing players at the varsity level and help build strong, positive, hard working student-athletes.
