The Secondary Boundary and Bell Time Task Force (SBBTTF) are using the below evaluation criteria for their decision-making for the secondary boundaries portion of their work. The overriding and primary criterion is equitable distribution of socioeconomic status and racial composition.
THE PRIMARY CRITERION:
EQUITABLE DISTRIBUTION OF SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS AND RACIAL COMPOSITION.
Other Criteria (in no particular order):
- Student cohort / neighborhood continuity from elementary school to middle school to high school
- Transportation time, cost, and proximity
- Starting enrollments / resources reasonably balanced
- Longevity / sustainability of the boundaries
