Prom

1. When is check-in for prom? 

Check in for the dance will start at 7:45.  We are going to make every effort to get everyone into Prom as quickly and safely as possible.  Please plan on 30 minutes of waiting as we check tickets and student IDs.

Please remember that prom ends promptly at 11:00.  If you are not driving yourself, please plan to be picked up at 11:00.

No one will be admitted into prom after 9:30 pm.

Tickets are $35.00 each.

Tickets will be on sale May 6th at 8 a.m. through May 9th at 12:00 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased through GoFan.  Students will need to enter their name, ID number,  their guest’s name, guest’s ID number,  and guest’s school.  

Students needing to purchase their tickets with cash, will need to see Ms. McFarlane in the Main Office.  You may purchase tickets in her office with the exact amount of money only.  Times for cash ticket sales are Tuesday, May 7th, Wednesday, May 8th, and Thursday, May 9th from 7:30 am-8:20 am or during the student’s assigned lunch time.

Only current juniors and seniors of Sun Prairie Area School District, whose home school is Sun Prairie East High School,  are allowed to buy tickets to prom.

Freshman, Sophomores, and Early Graduates are permitted to attend prom as the guest of an upperclassman. They must have a completed and approved guest form. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Early Graduates may not buy their own ticket to prom and must go as the date of the person buying the ticket.  They may not buy a ticket for an additional guest.  Freshmen, Sophomores, and Early Graduates must arrive and stay with the SPEHS student who bought the tickets.

Any student who is not a current Junior or Senior in Sun Prairie Area School District, with your home school as Sun Prairie East High School,  but is hoping to attend prom with a current SPASD Junior or Senior, with a home school of Sun Prairie East High School, will need a completed and approved guest form.  

Guest forms will be available for pick up in the Main Office starting Monday, April 22nd.  Guest forms may be turned into the Main Office starting April 23rd and must be returned by Thursday, May 2nd at 4:00 to staff in the Main Office to be considered. 

If your guest is approved to attend prom, the current SPASD Junior or Senior will receive an email at their school email address from administration on Friday, May 3rd by 6:00 pm. 

If a student does not receive a confirmation email from administration, their guest was not approved and they should not buy a ticket for their guest.  There will be no refunds for guests who were not approved. Guests must arrive and stay with the SPEHS student who bought the tickets.

Guests  must at least be enrolled in 9th grade and also be under the age of 21.  Guests need to show a picture ID, and follow the school rules of Sun Prairie East High School.

No refunds on any Prom tickets

No transfer of prom tickets will be allowed.

Prom is a formal event so please dress accordingly. Students should follow the school dress code as defined in our student handbook.  

Students and Prom Guests attending prom must have:

• Current Student ID/Photo ID/Infinite Campus proof

• Your Prom Guest must arrive with you, with a Student ID/Photo ID

• Proof of purchase on GoFan

The only area students will be able to access will be our portion of the 

Exhibit Hall.  If students leave our area, they will not be allowed back into prom.

All students are encouraged to park in the Monona Terrace parking ramp.  Cars can enter off of John Nolen Drive or Wilson Street.  There is a $5.00 charge for parking on the ramp.

There will not be a coat check at prom.  If you chose to leave your belongings somewhere at prom, you do so at your own risk.

No carry in bags will be allowed, with the exception of a small bag for necessities.  Your small bag will be subject to search.

The Junior Class is pleased to provide a limited amount of soda throughout the evening. There will also be ice water available throughout the event.  

Parents are not allowed at prom.  Prom is chaperoned by school district teachers and administrators. 

All school policies and handbook expectations will be upheld as prom is a school sanctioned event.
