Jamie Olson - Head Varsity Coach
I have been with the Sun Prairie School District since 2004. I started my coaching career in 2004 as the head JV softball coach. From there I moved up to the Varsity assistant position and in 2012 took over as the Head Varsity Coach.
In my career we have won conference in 2012, 2013, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022, and 2023. We have also had eight state appearances: 2012 - State Runner Up, 2013 - Appearance, 2017 - Appearance, 2018 - WIAA State Champions, with a record of 29-0, 2019 - State Runner Up, 2021 - State Runner Up, 2022 - State Runner Up and 2023 - Appearance. I have been voted 2018-Wisconsin Coach of the Year, 2018-Big Eight Coach of the Year, 2021-Wisconsin Coach of the Year, 2022-Big Eight Coach of the Year and 2023-Big Eight Coach of the Year. We've made school history for the softball program. I am passionate about softball and I enjoy working with the girls and instilling important values in their life. I hope that I teach them to be strong leaders on and off the field.
Chelsey Crawley (Rodenkirch) - Varsity Assistant Coach
A Sun Prairie native, joins the Sun Prairie East Softball coaching staff for her third season. Crawley graduated from Sun Prairie in 2011 before heading to Southwest Minnesota State University to play softball. She ended her softball career at Winona State University where she started every game for the championship caliber Warriors. Crawley graduated in 2016 with a major in Exercise Science and a minor in Coaching. Upon graduation, Crawley was the head of the GRB Rays Softball program for three years, training hundreds of young softball athletes. Chelsey is now the Director of Wisconsin Sports Services, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving and improving local youth sports organizations. Chelsey recently married her husband, Beau, in July of 2023. Together they love spending time with friends and family, attending concerts, traveling, and spoiling their puppy, Homer.

Softball Career:
Played and started all 4 years of high school first as a catcher and shortstop, then a 1st baseman, center fielder, and shortstop. I was a captain of my high school team as a Junior and Senior. I received 2nd team all conference as a Sophomore, 1st team all conference as a Junior and honorable mention as a Senior due to a prolonged hospitalization and missing the first couple weeks of the season. I played for the Wisconsin Lightning for U-14, U-16, and U-18. My team won Nationals in 2012 and 2013.
Career at Sun Prairie:
I have been teaching special education at Patrick Marsh since graduation. I started coaching softball at the Freshman level, then moved up to JV2, and now JV. I hope to move into a head coaching position down the road.
