Steve Maselter - Varsity Head Coach
I played four years of varsity basketball and two years for Coach Boos at Sun Prairie High School. I was fortunate to continue my career playing Division 2 college basketball at Northern Michigan University. I have been an assistant at the varsity level for nine years and was the girl's varsity coach at Poynette High School last season. I am an 8th grade teacher and have a wonderful wife, Kate Maselter, that also teaches 7th grade at Prairie View Middle School. We have two wonderful daughters, Jordan and Charlie, that are exciting for me to be back coaching with Coach Boos in Sun Prairie, and their favorite subject in school is absolutely math! Jordan is in 4th grade and Charlie is in 1st at Royal Oaks Elementary.
Nick Fuller - Varsity Assistant Coach
A Sun Prairie alum, Nick played four years under Coach Boos at Sun Prairie. He was a two-time Big 8 Player of the Year and currently holds the Big 8 all-time scoring record. After high school, he went on to play D-1 College Basketball at the University of Nebraska where he graduated with a Business Degree. Nick then went on to the University of South Dakota for a graduate year. Coach Fuller received The 6th Man of the Year award in the Summit League while helping the Coyotes to their best record ever!
Jay Fish - JV Coach
Jay was fortunate enough to play basketball at the high school and collegiate level, for Randolph and Ripon respectively. During his time in college he coached a local AAU program out of Randolph under Hugh Roberts. Coach Fish believes that sports teach us principles and values that transcend the field/court of competition and can be applied throughout our lives.
Leonard Webster - Volunteer Coach
I played high school basketball at Lourdes Academy in Oshkosh and then at UW-Fond du Lac, earning various accolades throughout my career. I have been involved in many youth based programs throughout my professional career and have coached various summer basketball teams. I look forward to mentoring and coaching the players in the program, both on and off the court. Go Cards!
Cormac Sampson - JV2 White Coach
Cormac is a social studies teacher at Sun Prairie East High School. It’s Cormac’s second year coaching and has only been coaching at Sun Prairie East. Cormac is a big believer in how sports can provide an avenue for opportunity and enrichment for kids. Cormac played 4 years of football at UW-Madison, holds the discus record at his high school, and was a three time All Academic Big 10 member.
Cormac coaches 3 other sports at the high school as well as works in the summer lifting and speed development program. He coaches varsity football, freshman basketball, and is the varsity track throws coach.
Coaching means to Cormac installing life long values that will benefit the athletes he coaches after their athletic career is over.
