Head Coach Jack Marchese
This is Jack's 18th year in the program. Jack was the Head JV Coach before moving to a Varsity assistant in 2019 and now Head Baseball Coach in 2023. This is his 29th year coaching baseball. Jack played his college baseball at Concordia University and is a member of their Hall of Fame.  He also played football at Concordia. Prior to becoming a coach in Sun Prairie, he was an Assistant Baseball Coach at Concordia University for one year, and Head Baseball Coach at West Allis Hale High School for nine years . At West Allis Hale he accumulated 141 wins, six regional finals, and two sectional finals. Coach Marchese attended Pius XI Catholic High School in Milwaukee. Coach Marchese is married to Renee (a Sun Prairie graduate), and they have four kids: Michael (27) Mallory (25) Mia (18) and Jack Jr. (14).

Chad Kavanaugh - Varsity Assistant Coach
Coach Kavanaugh has been a part of the Sun Prairie baseball program for 15 years.  He is also a part of the varsity football coaching staff.  Chad teaches physical education at Cardinal Heights Upper Middle School.  He and his wife Alison have three children:  Drew, Brooke, and Carter.

Mike Pogue - JV Head Coach
Coach Pogue is a SPHS 2005 Graduate and a member of the WIAA State Champion Baseball team that year.  He is also a coach with the varsity football program.  Mike is a graduate of Carroll University where he was a member of the football team.  He is currently a fifth grade teacher at  Patrick Marsh Middle School.  

Cody Whelan
Coach Whelan is a graduate of Sun Prairie High School in 2010. He graduated from UW Oshkosh with a degree in physical education. He coached 1 season at Oshkosh West before he started in the Sun Prairie program in 2019. He has been an assistant on the freshman/JV2 staff since 2019. This will be year one in a head coach position for the JV2 team. He is very excited and ready for the opportunity!
