Bank of Sun Prairie Stadium at Ashley Field
Since 1953, Ashley Field has been a focal point for the Sun Prairie Area School District and the Sun Prairie community. Countless games and graduations, concerts, and other events over the decades have ingrained this field into the hearts and minds of students and alumni, staff and community members. In 1953, the land the field sits on was donated by Sun Prairie Alumnus Charles Ashley. In May of 2020, the Sun Prairie Area School District and the Bank of Sun Prairie signed a twenty year partnership to name the stadium, Bank of Sun Prairie Stadium at Ashley Field.
The Bank of Sun Prairie has been one of our most generous partners. They are steadfast in their support of the kids and families of the Sun Prairie Area School District. This is a twenty-year partnership that builds on our historical relationship and sets the vision of shared collaboration for years to come. What is most exciting is our shared interest in the kids of our community and the future opportunities this partnership will offer the current generation of students and many generations to come. This partnership holds promise that this special place will continue to serve the community of Sun Prairie as a thriving center for school-based activities, commerce, and social events.
The new Bank of Sun Prairie Stadium at Ashley Field will host its first event in the fall of 2020. Bank of Sun Prairie Stadium at Ashley Field is a site that the community of Sun Prairie takes great pride in and is excited for the future.
Twedell Family Field House
Our boys and girls junior varsity and varsity basketball teams, all girls volleyball teams, and high school gym classes all call the field house their home. With enough space for multiple volleyball courts and basketball courts to be in use at once, it is great for multi-purpose activities. Our field house also offers an indoor track, jumping pits, and an area to pole vault.
Weight Room
The weight room, located on the floor just above the fieldhouse, houses treadmills, ellipticals, weight racks, and a plethora of various workout equipment for our students, staff, athletes, and gym classes to utilize.
Wrestling Room
Adjacent to our weight room is a space for both our junior varsity and varsity wrestling teams as well as our dance teams. Many of our athletic teams use this space for warms up, team meetings, etc.
Summit Field
This state of the art field was the first in the state to feature artificial turf for a high school. The Summit Credit Union bank sponsors the field that our varsity baseball team calls home every spring. This wonderful facility has given us the opportunity to host multiple WIAA Sectional Final baseball games.
Track/Varsity Soccer Field
Our varsity soccer field is located in the center of our track for our junior varsity and varsity track and field team. It is utilized by our boys and girls varsity soccer teams. The space allows for multiple teams to be practicing at once in order to maximize efficiency for various sports.
Softball Fields
Back to back are our junior varsity and 2018 State Champion varsity softball team fields.
Pool
Home to our junior varsity and varsity swim teams is our 25 yard, 8 lane swimming pool. The pool is equipped with a Colorado Timing System as well as a state of the art scoreboard. It is also used by gym classes and by community members during open swim times throughout the year.
Tennis Courts
At both our upper middle school and high school, we have multiple tennis courts for our boys and girls club tennis teams. Our gym classes also utilize the courts during the tennis unit each semester.
Prairie Pines Golf Club
The Prairie Athletic Club's Prairie Pines course hosts our boys and girls golf teams every fall and spring for practices and meets.
Sun Prairie Ice Arena
Located across the parking lot from our high school is our ice arena that serves not only our hockey teams, but host other practice teams and open skate for the community.
