The Office of Systemic Equity and Inclusion is responsible for co-creating and assisting in the execution of short and long-range equity goals and strategies supporting the district’s strategic plan, mission, vision, and equity framework while specifically promoting a climate of equity and inclusion for all.

This department co-creates and revises institutional policies, practices, structures, and programs fostering a climate of equity and acceptance that respects, values, and responds to the diversity of students, staff, parents/caregivers, and the community. Our Director of Systemic Equity and Inclusion will collaboratively facilitate the District’s efforts in sustaining a culture of equity, inclusion, and anti-racism for students, staff, and families with a specific focus on the academic and social outcomes of systemically underserved populations.

DONATE TO THE HBCU TRIP

This unique opportunity will provide 40 juniors and seniors from Prairie Phoenix Academy, Sun Prairie East, and Sun Prairie West High Schools the chance to visit Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across multiple states this spring. he experience will include campus tours at institutions such as Central State University, Kentucky State University, Tennessee State University, Fisk University, and Lincoln University. In addition, students will visit significant African American historical landmarks, further enriching their learning and awareness.

100% of your donation amount will go directly to our fund for the students taking this trip.

If you would like to provide a donation by check or would like a record of your donation for tax purposes, please complete this SPASD Donation Form. Please note "HBCU Trip" in the where/who collected the donation line item. 

When the donation form has been completed, our business office will keep lookout for an incoming check. If you require an invoice, please email rmrake@sunprairieschools.org and we will have one prepared for you.

The Sun Prairie Area School District celebrates and values our diverse community. While our schools aim to celebrate and acknowledge all heritage months that reflect the diverse cultures of our students, the Department of Systemic Equity and Inclusion currently lifts up the following heritage and recognition months. Please note that we have plans in place to add additional Heritage and Recognition Months in alignment with our Equity Framework in the coming years.
