Eligible Employee:

Any employee hired to work at least 30 hours per week is eligible to participate in the flexible spending plan.

This is a voluntary benefit, which allows you to fund certain specific expenses with Pretax dollars rather than After-tax dollars. Employee Benefits Corporation (EBC) is a Third Party Benefit Administrator providing administration of The BESTflex Plan, EBC's Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). The BESTflex Plan is a Section 125 Cafeteria Plan governed by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that allows certain health care and dependent care expenses to be paid with pretax dollars.

Employees are initially eligible for this benefit the first of the following month of their first date of employment. However, enrollment for this benefit will be done on an annual basis, so there will be annual enrollment periods to allow the opportunity for future enrollment.

Eligible Employee:
Any employee hired to work at least 30 hours per week is eligible to participate in the life insurance plan.

Basic Life Insurance:
Sun Prairie Area School District will purchase a term life insurance policy on your behalf equal to 1 x annual salary* rounded to the next higher $1,000; maximum $100,000.There is no cost to you for this coverage.

Optional Life Insurance:
You have the opportunity to purchase additional term life insurance equal to the amount purchased by the District at a cost to you of $.155 per thousand dollars of coverage per month; maximum $100,000.

The amount of Basic and Optional Life Insurance reduces 35% upon your attainment of age 65 and terminates upon your retirement.

*Administration and Administration Support will be covered at 4x salary

Long Term Disability

Percent of Covered Salary Insured:
67% of monthly salary for Support Staff/Admin/Admin Support and 90% for Professional Educators

Elimination Period:
60 days for Support Staff/Admin/Admin Support and 60 days for Professional Educators
