Our Communications team is committed to ensuring that our students, families, and the community are connected to the District's work. We are responsible for the District's marketing, community engagement, and public relations efforts. We manage the website, publish newsletters, work with the media, provide crisis communications, and organize community relations events.

DISTRICT WEBSITE
Event calendars, resources for families, newsletters, menus, community information and more can be found here. Each school has its own web page accessible through the District homepage.

INFINITE CAMPUS PARENT PORTAL
Click the “Infinite Campus” icon on the District home page. The portal gives parents and caregivers access to grades, assignment due dates, attendance, lunch account balances, fees, and more.

NEWSLETTERS
In addition to each school offering a monthly newsletter, the District offers several newsletters a year to keep families and the community connected to the great things happening in our District. You can view past newsletters under the “Community” tab and “District Newsletters.”

PEACHJAR FLYERS
We connect our families to community events and activities using an electronic flyer system. Watch for a weekly email containing new flyers for your student’s school.

CAREGIVERS RECEIVE EMAILS, PHONE CALLS, AND TEXTS
You can choose to be contacted via email, phone, and/or text message. In addition to school newsletters and messaging, we will contact you in emergency situations, such as weather closings or building emergencies. Update your contact information in the Infinite Campus parent portal.

GET INVOLVED IN OUR SCHOOLS
Tutor in our schools, attend music and sporting events, attend theater events at our Performing Arts Center and use the high school pools during open hours. Visit our website to learn how to get involved in our schools.

Building Our Communications Plan

In September 2021 we created a communications team to help us create a 3-year plab=n.

Communications Committee Charge:

The Communications Committee shall review the Sun Prairie Area School District communication work as a group to develop a written plan that details a comprehensive communication strategy for the district within the context of the parameters detailed below.

The Committee develops a communication plan that:

Seeks robust two-way communication with all members of the school district community
Provides honest information to all members of the community and increases transparency in a way that builds trust
Engages all community members who may not have a natural connection to the district in a thoughtful and meaningful way
Is based on the District’s Strategic Plan
Builds on best practices in communication and successful communication efforts in the district
