Principal Welcome
Our names are Pang Khang and Tiffany Drogue and we are honored to be working alongside you as C.H. Bird’s principal and associate principal.
We want to tell you a bit about ourselves but more importantly share our vision for C.H.Bird and invite you to help our school achieve our vision and more.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Pang has been an educator for the past 10 years with both elementary and high school experience. She has served as a classroom teacher, advanced learning specialist and for the last two years as the dean of students at Sun Prairie East High School. She has also been a member of several school improvement planning teams, served as an internal PBIS coach, and helped develop the Developmental Bilingual Education kindergarten curriculum in Madison. She graduated from UW-Madison with a teaching degree and Cardinal Stritch University with a principal and Director of instruction license.
Tiffany Drogue is very excited to be part of the C.H. Bird Elementary School Family! She has been living and working in the Sun Prairie community for over 20 years. She previously worked as a special education teacher at Northside Elementary school for 15 years, and then served our district as a mentor for new special education teachers for the last 8 years.
OUR VISION
CH Bird is a beautiful school with nurturing staff and amazing students. We are a proud community school that serves our communities through food banks and academic and social events. We know that collaborating with teachers, holding students to high expectations, and partnering with parents/caregivers will be the three key strategies to ensure that all of our students leave C.H. Bird with the tools they need to succeed not just academically but in life.
We’re going to continue to nurture our great teachers with professional development opportunities, new teacher mentoring, formal and informal conversations around their teaching practices and relationship building with students, staff, and parents/caregivers.
All students as well as teachers and staff are valued and appreciated inside these walls. We believe student success is tied closely to the support they receive at school and at home and in their community.
This year, we are focusing on helping our students and staff feel seen, safe, and successful. We are going to do this by taking A.C.T.I.O.N. – Achievement focus, Community first, Take responsibility, inspire each other, Overcome challenges, and Never give up.
We are eager to know the CH Bird families.
Thank you and see you soon.
