WELCOME TO SUMMER SCHOOL 2019!

We are excited to welcome our students to Summer School 2019 on Monday, June 24, 2019!  Following are some helpful reminders:

  • Summer School Dates - Monday-Thursday, June 24-July 31, 2019.
  • No School - We have no school on July 4, 2019 and our last day is July 31, 2019. 
  • Starting & Ending Time - All K-12 classes for the June 24-July 31, 2019 dates start at 8;00 am and end at 12:10 pm  Please note dates/times on the website for classes held outside of these dates/times.
  • Early Arrival - All elementary Summer School sites will open at 7:00 am for early arrival.  Parents/guardians, please do not drop your children prior to 7:00 am. Children must sign in at the Cafeteria when they arrive.
  • School Sites, Office Staff, Attendance Phone Numbers - Please view the office information for each Summer School site that is posted on the right hand side of the Summer School website.  We invite you to enjoy the welcome videos and letters.
  • Schedules & Fees - All schedules and fees are posted in each child’s Infinite Campus Account.  Parents/Guardians, please use the parent portal to access the information. If you need help with the parent portal, please contact Pamela Garcia at 834.6571 or at pcgarci@sunprairieschools.org.
  • Transportation - Information on district provided transportation, including bus assignments and routes, for students who are eligible is posted in each child’s Infinite Campus Account. Parents/Guardians, please use the parent portal to access the information.  If you need assistance with the parent portal, please contact Pamela Garcia at 834.6571 or at pcgarci@sunprairieschools.org.
  • Nutrition - Every Summer School site will be serving lunch.  Elementary sites will be serving breakfast and lunch.  Please view online Breakfast and Lunch Menus for each day.  Every school will have raisins and fruit bars available to all students in the office area.  Letters related to nutrition for K-8 are posted on the Summer School website under “Lunch Information for Each Site” on the left hand side of the page.
  • Information for Parents/Guardians - All general information that has been sent to parents/guardians and HS students is posted under “Information for Parents/Guardians” on the left hand side of the Summer School website.  Specialized information for the parents/guardians of incoming 5K students is located on the left side.

Summer School Dates

Summer School 2019 Dates

June and July 2019 Summer School Sessions are held Monday-Thursday.

Session 1: June 24 - July 11
Session 2: July 15 - July 31

The first day is June 24 (Monday) and the last day is July 31 (Wednesday).  

  • There are no classes on July 4 (Thursday)
  • The week of July 4th and the final week of Summer School are shortened weeks. Both weeks end on a Wednesday.

There are additional learning opportunities in the afternoon/evenings at Sun Prairie High School.  There are special opportunities at the middle, upper middle, and high school in August.
No district busing is provided for afternoon or August classes.

Registration

Registration will open on the
following dates:

  • High School (current grades 9-12): MON, JAN 28, 2019 at 8:00 am - See instructions in a panel below
     
  • 4K Students: WED, MAR 13, 2019 at 7:00 am
     
  • Elementary Students (current grades K-4): TUES, MAR 26, 2019 at 7:00 am
     
  • Middle/Upper Middle Level Students (current grades 5-8): TUES, APR 2, 2019 at 7:00 am
     
  • Registration Assistance for English Language Learner's to register for Summer School will be THURS, APR 4, 2019 from 4-7 PM at the District Office, Room 100. We are happy to provide this evening opportunity for families whose primary home language is a language other than English, and who may want assistance in registering their children for K-8 Summer School programs.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

The Sun Prairie Area School District (the “District”) works with vendors who directly process credit card and debit card payments that may be made for registration and other services or activities. The District does not receive non-public personal information as defined under federal or state laws nor does the District receive Cardholder Data requiring compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS). Nonetheless, the District’s website is secure and the District maintains full compliance with PCI DSS standards. The limited payment-related information that the District receives from its vendors is truncated and encrypted. We do not share this information. Should you wish to receive information related to our vendors’ privacy policies or data security standards, please contact us.

REFUND POLICY

If you have canceled a student’s registration, the District will provide a full (100%) refund of registration fees so long as a refund request is made prior to the start date of the summer school session for which the refund is requested. If a refund request is submitted on or after the start date of the summer school session for which a refund is requested, no refund will be issued. If you have registered for both summer school sessions and have requested a refund after the start date of the first summer school session, the District will provide a refund for the second session only. Exceptions may be made in extenuating circumstances, at the discretion of the District. To request a refund, contact the coordinator for your child’s level.

Refunds may be applied to a student’s account (the account of the student whose registration is being canceled) or may be issued to you directly. Refunds will be processed as soon as possible, but generally take at least one month to process.
