Looking for a part-time job? Great! Just know the online job world is chaotic. Even on sites like Indeed, there’s tons of spam, duplicates, and fake listings. The best move? Find real companies you like and apply directly on their websites.

⚠️ Watch for Red Flags
  • Never share your Social Security number or bank info before you’re officially hired.
  • Real jobs don’t charge you for equipment, training, or background checks.
  • “Work from your phone! $300/day!” = scam.
  • Check for a real business email (like @target.com, not @gmail.com).
🧠 Smart Job Search Tips
  • Browse on Indeed if you want ideas—but apply through company career pages whenever possible.
  • Stick with local employers you recognize (stores, restaurants, parks, schools).
  • Keep a short list of where you’ve applied so you can spot fake or repeat posts.
  • Ask a parent, teacher, or counselor before sending personal info.
