Applying For Your Work Based Learning Experience

Students are asked to fill out the Work Based Learning Interest Form in JobReady (a software we use for Work-Based Learning) to turn their interest into action and be added to the list of students interested in Work Based Learning.

TIMELINE 

These tasks must be done in order.

The suggested timeline is included, but it is flexible. You can condense the entire program into Q4, for example, provided you meet the deadlines highlighted in yellow.
 

Phase 1: Explore & Connect  
Suggested: Quarter 3

  • Attend an Info Night: Learn about the program basics.
  • Meet with CCLR: Get personalized guidance. 
    Deadline: 1st Friday in June

  • Submit Interest Form: Let the school know you're interested. 
    Deadline: 1st Friday in June

    Application ≠ accepted. Please make sure you have a full schedule of in-building courses planned!

Phase 2: Preparation & Job Search
Suggested: Quarter 4

  • WIN Sessions: Complete the following:
    • Resume Prep 
    • Job Search Prep   
    • Practice Interview
  • Apply for Jobs: Apply for jobs.
     

Phase 3: Finalizing (Before School Starts)
Summer

  • Schedule Input: Input your preferred schedule 
    Deadline: 1st Friday in August

  • Secure Job! Deadline: Must have a job offer confirmed 1 week before school starts

  • Paperwork & Scheduling: Complete all legal/program documents before school starts.
    Deadline: Friday before school starts
